Mr Kalpa PereraVascular Surgeon
Kalpa Perera is a Vascular and Endovascular surgeon trained in all aspects of arterial and venous disorders. He performs both the latest minimally invasive techniques and traditional open surgery. He will tailor treatment to the specific needs of his patients. He is able to treat varicose veins patients both in the operating theatre and in his consulting rooms under local anaesthetic.
Kalpa has a particular interest in complex endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms.
He is also the vascular surgery lead for the High Risk Foot Service (HRFS) at Austin Health and has a keen interest in limb salvage in patients with limb threatening ischemia and diabetic foot disease.
Kalpa graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed his junior years at Box Hill Hospital. He commenced his Vascular Surgery training at Royal Perth Hospital before spending his fellow years at major hospitals in Melbourne and Sydney which include Royal Melbourne Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Austin Health. Kalpa is the current supervisor of vascular surgery training at the Austin Hospital.
Kalpa operates and consults at Epworth Eastern and Knox Private Hospital. He also consults in Heidelberg and Bundoora.
