Neurosurgery is the surgical treatment of conditions affecting the nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. It may be performed to treat brain disease, neurological disorders such as trigeminal neuralgia and Parkinson’s disease as well as back and neck pain.
